The Ferret have announced a new band for their Autumn line-up.

Eagulls will play a show at the Fylde Road music venue on Friday, September 23.

The band, who The Guardian have compared with Preston’s own Evil Blizzard in terms of standing out from the mainstream, will also be playing at Kendal Calling which is attended by a large number of people from Preston.

There will be special guests who will be announced closer to the time of the show.

The booking of Eagulls follows that of The Wytches and Wheatus, as well as Slow Club at the New Continental, and provides a boost for Preston in terms of live music following the closure of 53 Degrees in 2014.

Tickets for the show are £9 and doors are at 7.30pm.
