Ale fans are set to camp out on a rugby pitch as thousands of pints are served at a fast-growing Preston beer festival.
AdvertisementPreston Grasshoppers is seeing Hopfest return after last year’s debut festival attracted 1,250 visitors.
This year the festival has added new gin and prosecco bars, as well as a Marston’s Craft Ale marquee.
Running from Friday 15 July to Sunday 17 July at the Lightfoot Lane club there’s touch rugby, live music and food all on the menu alongside the ale.
Acts performing include The Articles, Trouble at T’Mill, Sonic Blues Disco, The Hyperjax and Kathy and the Hornbeats.

Entry to the festival is £4, with a £1 discount for CAMRA members and Grasshoppers members. Admission includes a free glass and programme.
Once you’ve paid then you can go in and out as many times as you like over the three days, just keep hold of your glass. Tickets can be bought in advance via Skiddle.

No cash is taken on site, tokens are available in £1 and £1.50 denominations at the festival. The majority of pints will be £3, with gins and prosecco £3.50.
