There will be six months of change at Preston Station during a major revamp.

Virgin Trains has announced the £1.5m plan for the station and called for patience from passengers while the work takes place.

Here’s a breakdown of what it means for passengers using the station…

When does the work begin?
It starts from Monday 25 April

How long for?
Until October

Can I still get in the main entrance?
Yep, it’s the same as usual there

What about Butler Street side?
All the same here

What about the platform 7 entrance?
Here’s where the change is, there’s a temporary entrance being located on platform 7 giving access to the subway and lift. It will be signposted from the multi-storey car park.

Is this multi-storey car park remaining open?

What about the short stay car park?
The outside car park, adjacent to Butler Street, will be closed and short stay parking off Butler Street will be limited.
