The move comes after the bus operator scrapped a number of routes following the cut in subsidy from Lancashire County Council.
Preston Bus also took the commercial decision to remove the Orbit bus service, blaming a cutback in grant from the city council and also the amount of congestion on the roads in the city. Thousands of people signed a petition calling for the Orbit to be reintroduced.
It has also expanded to takeover a route to Skipton, serving rural parts of Preston.
