Fun in the sun for the UCLan colour run

There’s clearly something about being pelted with brightly coloured powdered paint that seems to makes people smile.

At least that seemed to be the case for those taking part in the annual UCLan colour fun run. After the race though, it must have been reassuring to know that the paint used is completely safe.

It washes out of clothes and hair – a good job really considering the coverage that some people were getting on the run around the Sports Arena.

The course was three laps of the cycle track, equivalent to 5k. Some of the runners were undertaking the challenge for charity and no doubt this will be the most colourful 5k they have ever run.

It will also probably be one of the most enjoyable!
