Car garage fire sees Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service called to Deepdale

Five fire engines have been called to a fire at a car garage in Deepdale.


Preston Police have closed part of Skeffington Road to help fire crews deal with the fire.

The fire is close to the Basil Street end of Skeffington Road.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said they were not aware of anyone being injured as a result of the fire. They were called around 4pm on Tuesday. The fire service have now said they believe the fire may have been arson.

Skeffington Road was shut from the junction with St Georges Road to the junction with St Chad’s Road. Part of Castleton Road was also shut. Police reopened the roads around 5.15pm.

The fire was reported to have been put out shortly before 6pm.
