Famous names in the world of snooker return to Preston Guild Hall from Saturday lunchtime.

Broadcast on Sky Sports, the likes of Jimmy White, John Parrott and Mark Williams are among the names to grace the table.
Williams, who is the defending champion, said he is pleased snooker is back in Preston.
He said: “I really enjoyed the World Seniors, especially lifting the trophy. It’s a lot of fun for the players and fans. I’ve had some special moments at the Guild Hall, it’s a fantastic venue and I’m looking forward to being back there.”
Also on the line up are Peter Ebdon, Nigel Bond, Darren Morgan, Joe Johnson and Ken Doherty.
A spokesman for World Snooker said: “We are thrilled to return to the Guild Hall for the World Seniors Championship. It’s a venue synonymous with snooker as so many of the great names have walked the floors of the arena over the years.
“We know how passionate the people of Preston and Lancashire are about snooker so we are sure they will turn out in force to support this event. It’s a chance to see so many favourites of the sport in action while enjoying a relaxed atmosphere. We have staged this tournament every year since 2010 and it’s always a lot of fun for the fans and players.”
Richard Simkin, head of operations at Preston Guild Hall Ltd, said: “It is absolutely fantastic for us to have top snooker stars back at the venue and hopefully this event will stay for many years to come.”
The snooker runs in four sessions, 1pm on Saturday 30 January, 7pm on Saturday, 1pm on Sunday 31 January and 7pm on Sunday 31 January.
