Despite the weather a crowd of muggles turned out to pay their respects to Alan Rickman on Saturday afternoon.
AdvertisementArranged by the Harry Potter Society at the University of Central Lancashire, the event took place by the university library.
Holly Hughes opened the memorial service with a reading and played a piece of music arranged by herself but based on Lily’s theme from the film.
James Hofstetter, Holly Hughes and Becky Miller of the Harry Potter Society all read out their own words about the Actor himself and the character we all know and love, Professor Snape.
Candles were lit, a couple of wands appeared and a donation was given by all which raised £60 for Cancer research.
Rest in Peace, Alan Rickman.
