The Met Office has issued a weather warning saying there will be poor visibility from 9pm on Sunday evening through until Monday lunchtime.

Many parts of Preston woke up to a slightly foggy start to November and this looks due to continue.

The chief forecaster said: “A slack, moist airmass lying across much of England will allow fog to readily form again on Sunday night, reducing visibility to less than 100 m at times. Fog will slowly lift and clear from many places through Monday.”

Motorists are urged to take particular care during the Monday morning commute.
