Over 200 cask beers will be available to try throughout the weekend, as well as specialist keg, craft beers, ciders and perrys.
The festival kicks of on October 1, with a Top of the Taps rundown of all the specialist drinks to choose from. Improved seating and heating in the beer hall have also been added for this year, keeping you warm and merry for longer!
The Ferret will be providing treats from its delicious menu and the outdoor marquee, known this year as the Heineken Music Stage, is back providing a setup for local music and entertainment. Acts ready to perform here include Not My Good Arm, Skinny Wrist Gumbo, The Fast Camels and a Star Wars inspired rhythm and blues set by Blues Harvest.
To combat overcrowding issues, The Continental assistant manager Jack Bamber said, “To promote a safer and more comfortable environment we’ve introduced a maximum number of thirsty scholars at the fest so a small entry fee of £3 or £5 after 6pm has been introduced, although entry will still be free on the Thursday and Sunday.”
“There’ll also be a £1.50 discount for CAMRA members off the entry price. We have invested in making the 15th Beer Fest experience the best beer festival around.”
