Heavy downpours during Friday rush hour have caused flash flooding across the South of Preston.
Lancashire Police and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service have been responding to a number of incidents in the Walton-le-Dale and Lostock Hall area.
A motorist had to be rescued from their car around 5.40pm in Todd Lane North.
Calls started to come into emergency services around 5pm as heavy rain lashed Preston and the surrounding area.
Police closed Todd Lane North between Lyndale Avenue and Carwood Park due to surface water.
Louise Hogg sent us these pictures of Chorley Road in Walton-le-Dale with water coming up through cracks in the road.
Other roads affected by flooding include Prospect Avenue, Fir Trees Avenue, Walton Green, Watkin Lane, Linden Drive and Coote Lane.
Stuart McQueen said houses in Prospect Avenue had been flooded and the road was “completely under water”.
The Met Office says heavy rain is expected to continue during Friday night and throughout Saturday.
