Police have uncovered a cannabis factory in the Broadgate area of the city.

PC Karl Ingram led a raid on the property in Meadow Court around 6pm on Wednesday.

Officers found 32 cannabis plants in total and said the cultivation equipment was “quite expensive stuff”.

The property was empty when raided by police and enquiries are ongoing to trace the occupant.

Anyone with information about drugs in their area can call 101 or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
