On Sunday afternoon 17 May, a religious procession took place along New Hall Lane in Preston. There were stepped road closures as the procession progressed along the length of New Hall Lane. These road closures had been previously announced on the Preston City Council website but it is not clear yet whether or not there had been prior warning signage on New Hall Lane, referring to this particular event.
