Another bunch of Halloween revellers amazed by the PrestFest fairy paying for their taxi
PrestFest kicked off the Halloween celebrations with an angel of mercy on Friday evening with the PrestFest fairy paying for the taxi fares of people arriving in the city for the celebrations.
Ian Macmillan of BID Preston said “the PrestFest fairy is catching people as they arrive in a taxi and excitedly telling them that she will pay for their taxi ride. People are being bowled over by it all, but all the same, delighted to let her pay”.
Lots of spooky things going on at the PrestFest event
Looks like we’ve got our X-Ray specs on again
This idea is the brainchild of Preston’s Business Improvement District (BID) who are paying the fares of random lucky taxi riders over Friday and Saturday during PrestFest.

Tomorrow, Saturday 1 November, there will be an absolute monster of a line up of spooky characters and prize giveaways for revellers in the city centre; be sure not to miss all that’s going on and see if you can win £50 to spend in many of the city’s selected venues.
