The night’s sky across Preston was lit up once against with firework displays from every corner of the city.

Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Club hosts one of the largest displays and Paul Melling was nearby to snap the fireworks.

The dazzling display also treated drivers on the M6 to superb views as they raced by the North of the city.

Thousands of people have enjoyed displays in Fulwood, Penwortham and beyond during the course of Bonfire Night.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said they have dealt with more than 150 incidents across the county during the course of Wednesday evening, as firefighters returned to work after a four-day strike.

A few fireworks displays are still to take place on Saturday 8 November.
