Friends of a teenager who was murdered in Deepdale have been paying tribute.
AdvertisementThe 18 year old, named locally as Jonjo Highton, was killed late on Saturday night on St Stephen’s Road.
A board with pictures and flowers has been left near to where Jonjo died, and candles lit overnight in his memory.

Readers on the Blog Preston Facebook page have been among those paying their respects to Jonjo.
Danielle Salisbury posted: “R.I.P JONJO, you have sadly been taken from eveyones lifes my thoughts and prayers goes to all your family & especially your lil lad, such ashame, had the rest of ya life a head of you, you was & still are loved by every1 you came into contact wiv. Good Night God Bless.”
Toniya Jane Murrell said: “This is terrible news poor lad goes out to his family and true friends rip.”
Ashley Miller Hardman posted: “Rest in paradise jon-jo my brother gone but never forgotten you will be missed by all of us see you again one day big fell love and miss you night god-bless.”
Many have posted pictures of Jonjo as a child as part of their tributes to him.
Lancashire Police are continuing to question a 20 year old man in connection with the incident.
A post mortem is still take place by the police have indicated the injuries sustained were consistent with a knife attack.
Last year it is believed Jonjo was attacked in the Deepdale area with a machete by two men who are now in jail.
