A touch of the Middle East comes to Preston with new restaurant Lola.
Another exotic taste to add to the growing flavours of the world that can be found in the city.
Lola, on London Road, brings Egyptian style cuisine to Preston.
The new restaurant is on the site of the old Greyhound Pub and offers Middle Eastern food such as baked okra or zucchini, falafel, mesaka, shawarma, kofta, hummus and baba ghanoush.
They have several Egyptian specialites on the menu. Egyptian style curry, garlic bread, prawn salad, marinated steak, piri-piri chicken all cooked with Lola’s special herbs and spices.
We particularity like the sound of the Egyptian burger, Feteer (Egyptian style pizza) and Nefertiti chicken. All dishes seasoned with Egyptian herbs.
The restaurant is also vegan-friendly with several veg options available. The curries can be made vegan.
During the day they offer a snack menu offering Egyptian style paninis, handmade burgers, jacket potatoes, falafel and sandwiches served on Egyptian bread.
Enough there to excite the taste buds of anyone.
A recent review on Tripadvisor said the rated 5/5 with excellent, friendly, customer service. They commented the Egyptian Traditional Curry was really fresh and really tasty.
