It looks like the Avenham and Miller Parks are the places to be on Easter Monday, with the Preston Egg rolling on Avenham Park and now this year a new event presented by the Woodenspoons Theatre Company is added to the festivities with ‘Who Stole Easter?’ which will be a fun filled, interactive whodunit extravaganza for all the family to enjoy on Miller Park.
The Plot:
Follow the pursuit to find, to fathom, to solve who stole Easter?
The beautiful wondrous golden egg is missing and it’s sudden disappearance is shrouded in mystery. The prized egg was supposed to be displayed in ceremony of Egg Rolling Monday. But when it’s cargo box was opened upon arrival to the park on (Sunday at 17.00) there was nothing in it. Police have narrowed their search down. There are six suspects, who all hold a piece of the puzzle. It’s up to you to find them, hear their story and ask questions. You are the detective but will you discover who is to blame or just end up with Egg on your face?
Synopsis:
The Egg was transported from London Under the Guard of Colonel Yolk a retired military officer who has many questions looming over his competence and some say his loyalties lie elsewhere. Lady Henbasket has travelled up from Kent with her faithful servant Mrs White to see the Rare Ornament of Easter. She was devastated to hear it was missing but do her past attempts to purchase the egg make her a likely suspect?
Mr Scrambles has returned from Spain with his new Fiancee Madame Omelette to attend a lecture at the University from Professor Poach about the rare and wonderful Golden Egg. Is Poach’s knowledge and research a healthy pursuit or a dangerous obsession? Does Madame Omelette really love her Scrambles? Or is her sudden arrival and fascination in the egg a manipulative game to gain?
But don’t forget Mrs White who has spent her entire life serving the rich and wealthy, could greed tempt her to a life of crime?
There will be three showings of this event on Easter Monday 21 April starting at the Sun Dial on the west side of Miller Park and each one will be of about twenty minutes duration with a fifteen minute walkabout by the actors to collect answers from everyone.
Start times of each showing are, 11.30am – 1.30pm – 3pm
