Fulwood Leisure Centre is having a refurb
Fulwood Leisure Centre’s gym is due to re-open this week after an eight week refurb of the leisure centre.
The gym was shut as Preston City Council create a new mezzanine floor to house a new dance studio.
The work shut the gym on the first floor and the squash courts.
The project – carried out by Manley Construction UK Ltd – is costing £96,273 and will enable more dance and fitness clases to take place at the leisure centre.
West View Leisure Centre had its gym refurbished during early January and Fulwood’s was refurbished before Christmas.
Meanwhile the cost of using council-run leisure centres in the city will rise from the 1 April as new charges come into force.
