News today of events in Preston. A mob of mild mannered students were protesting outside University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) buildings in the city.
The students were reportedly ‘walking around a bit andĀ being noisy.’ When asked what they were protesting about they said they didn’t really know and they were not bothered either way. Many held up placards stating they didn’t have a opinion and they were ‘sitting on the fence.’
The protest was captured in the video below.
It was all a bit of fun really. In reality the video is an attempt to highlight to students not to become part of the ‘mild mannered masses’ and to share their opinions about their course with the National Student Survey (NSS).
Students in their undergraduate final year undergraduate can comment on their student experience and have a say about what they thought by taking part in the NSS 2013.
The NSS 2013 was launched in January to most Higher Education Institutions and most Further Education Colleges providing Higher Education courses across the UK and is students opportunity to give their opinions. It asks what they liked or disliked about their time on their course and asks what they think could have been done better.
Results are later made available to prospective students, their families and advisors to help make informed choices of where and what to study. The survey gives students at Preston a real chance to make changes at the UCLan.
