Please take time to read this appeal from Julie at the Preston RSPCA Animal Shelter:
‘This is Emily who was brought in to us by a very kind lady who had done her absolute best to help her. Emily was only a few weeks old when her husband found her in the middle of the road with cars swerving around her.
It was pouring down with rain and she was barely alive. Although seen by a vet immediately an infection had taken hold in one of her eyes and the vet had to remove it.
RSPCA Preston & District branch were asked to help as an infection had spread to her remaining eye and removal of it seemed imminent. The cheapest option would have been to remove her remaining eye which of course would have left her completely blind. Although our funds are running extremely low how could we not give this young baby a chance?
So this is where we ask for your help, even if it’s only a pound would you be willing to donate to help Emily. We won’t put a price on her eyesight! Our vet thinks it’s worth trying to save her eyesight and we think she deserves that chance no matter what it costs. Hope you all agree?
If you would like to donate to Emily`s care (any money left over after Emily`s care will go direct to helping other cats & dogs at Preston) you can donate via Paypal (slackcottageanimals@hotmail.co.uk) or visit our website at Preston RSPCA or direct to our animal centre in Preston. Please make sure on any donations that you say FOR EMILY`S APPEAL.
We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Debbie-Anne Pitcher and her husband for saving this little girls life and taking good care of her. Many Thanks, Julie xx.’
