Police are on the hunt for a thief who drove off with a go-kart in Lea.

The green and white kart was left on the back of a trailer on Blackthorn Close after the owners had been at a race meet.

The kart was taken around 2am on Friday 27 July.

PC Phil Baxendale said: “The owners are extremely keen to get their go kart back and so I would urge anyone who thinks they may have any information at all that they think could help to come forward.

“It is quite a distinctive kart and so I would urge people to think back and if they remember seeing it in the area or maybe someone has been offered it for sale to contact us immediately.”

The make of the kart is a TKM 100.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police by calling 101 or alternatively, information can be passed to the independent charity, Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
