Here are this week’s offerings for the Preston Photo Digest, collecting the best photographs of Preston on a weekly basis.
All of these images have been compiled from the Preston Flickr Group, but if you’ve got a photograph that you think deserves to be included, get in touch at joseph(@)blogpreston.co.uk.
I’ll also be updating and including a map of Preston (you can see it at the bottom of this post) which I’ll pin all the photographs to. By the end of the year we should have a fairly extensive photo map of Preston collated from the best photographs.
First up in this week’s roundup is this shot of a building I’ve always liked in Preston, the old workhouse. It’s on Watling Street Road and is currently used by the NHS.
The next photo in this week’s digest will be a familiar site to most people who go into town at the weekends – it’s the accordionist on Fishergate who busks with his quirky takes on classic songs.
This week’s final photo is a shot of some graffiti near the university. The Ship Inn opens up their wall to graffiti artists to create their pieces, and here is the latest one.

As usual you can take a look through the photo map below to see a collection of all the photos used in previous photo digests pinned to their location in the city.
