Preston and Lancashire residents gathered together on Sunday for a Remembrance Day service on the Flag Market.
AdvertisementA diverse crowd including veterans, cadets and current serving members of the armed forces assembled for a procession and ceremony in the town centre to commemorate those who lost their lives fighting in the British army, navy and air force.
The event followed Friday’s event for Armistice Day where around 200 members of the public turned out for a two minute silence and shorter service. Preston’s post-1945 war dead have also been honoured in a roll of honour.
