On 8 May 2024, Recycling Lives decided to branch out as a charity and open a soup kitchen for the vulnerable people of Preston. This has been a huge success and we have fed hundreds of homeless and other vulnerable people. We provide them with a hot meal that they can take out or eat in or both! We also provide clothes, sleep pods, food parcels and toiletries when available. We supply a meat and a vegetarian option to ensure we are accessible for all the people of Preston.
We will be having a birthday party to celebrate the success and remind the community that we are here to help!
We would love it if you could visit us on this day to celebrate with us. The night will run like all our other nights and will still be providing meals to the homeless and vulnerable. We believe a hot meal service to be vital to the Preston community, which has been proved by the numbers we have seen (sometimes it is 100 people in one night) and would love your support. All food and drink will be free. If you can attend the event will take place at the Landmark building in St Mary's Street North on the Wednesday 7 May. We open at 6pm to 7.30pm.
Help us continue to make a difference for as many people as possible when it comes to accessing arts, culture and events in the city.
