Asher Roth is touring to celebrate the 15 year anniversary of his first album "Asleep in the Bread Aisle" which moved 600,000 units and went gold, while his hit single "I Love College" went platinum with 1.3 million units sold and 300 Million streams!
Over a decade ago, Asher demonstrated a passion for far-reaching references and advanced flows. The Morrisville, PA, WCU-lovinâ Roth relocated to Atlanta, where he partnered with DJ Drama and Don Cannon for 2008's The Greenhouse Effect mixtape.Â
Roth signed to Steve Rifkind (Loud Records) & Scooter Braun (SB Projects), released a double-platinum single âI Love Collegeâ and a gold debut in 2009âs - Asleep in the Bread Aisle. By 2010's Seared Foie Gras with Quince and Cranberry offering it was clear Roth was moving in his own direction. By cultivating a core fanbase through free albums like âPabst & Jazzâ and projects with Nottz & Travis Barker, Asher has been able to create a community driven career.Â
Â
His belief in sustainability spawned an open air venue in his home city of Philadelphia, Sunflower Philly, to provide an outlet for artists during the pandemic while simultaneously being the inspiration for his independent releases âRetrohashâ and âFlowers On The Weekend.â The former has become the name for his artist development company that recently played a role in expanding âThe Greenhouse Effectâ series - while leading to collaborative albums âWhyâs It So Grey Out?â and âTemporary Heavenâ with Heather Grey. Â
Â
Asher continues to expand on his discography while building a reputation for one of hip hopâs finest live performers.Â
