In Bloom, is a solo performance, conceived, choreographed and performed by Aline Costa.

In this work, Costa speaks volumes without uttering a word. She marks her territory without commentary. She kicks up the dirt whilst sowing grotesque seeds of disquiet. She stamps out her earthy vision with vigour, and dark determination, whilst creating a fragrant, fragile space. Who knew one so delicate could make such a racket?

In Bloom is a solo performance that repeatedly corners Costa, (de)pressing her against a wall of preconception, and challenging her to dig deeper.

Physical Fest 2023 Female Bursary winner; later developed with ACE support and mentorship from Liz Aggiss.

This performance is part of dance double bill. This performance is part of dance double bill. It is possible that the two performances will be switched – we recommend coming at 7.30pm for both shows.
