A giveaway by Preston’s spud sensations saw new record queues on the Flag Market.
Preston’s Spud Bros gave away free spuds on Saturday April 19 from 11am to 4pm on The Flag Market funded by social media super star Mr Beast.
This comes after Mr Beast handed over his card to them telling them to give Preston a free day after trying a spud in London recently.
The spud tram sold free Mr Feastables chocolate as well as spuds turning their beloved tram blue to represent the colours of feastables.
The first 50 customers had the chance to win a mystery box with prizes such as Airpods, a Play Station and an Apple Watch up for grabs.
Queues for the free spuds and mystery boxes started from 1am on Saturday growing longer and longer throughout the event.
The tram gave away over 1000 spuds, 5000 Feastables bars, a PS5, a load of Apple gear and electronics and to top it all off- £10k in cash.

Tony Nelson, father of Jacob and Harley said: “Massive shoutout to MrBeast for teaming up with us for a proper belter of a free day in the Flag Market. Thousands turned up for the Feastables event- locals, families, students, even a few who jetted in from LA of all places.
“The atmosphere was fantastic. It was pure fun from start to finish. Laughter, cheering and spuds flying out the hatch.
“As we get ready to take the SpudBros on the road- across the UK and maybe even further afield- I just want to say nothing compares to a day like this one, right here in Preston. We might be taking the spuds global but we’ll always stay local at heart. We’re keeping it “glocal”.
“Thanks again Preston. You’re the best crowd in the world. You made this spud father proud.”
