New to cinemas this week, Sinners stars Michael B. Jordan and Hailee Steinfeld in a thrilling horror film that sees Jordan play a pair of twins who find themselves caught in between worlds. Warfare also features a star-studded cast that includes Will Poulter, Joseph Quinn, and Noah Centineo to name a few. The film is an epic war movie based on a true story. And finally, The Penguin Lessons starring Steve Coogan is new to theatres this week with an emotional true story about a man who learns to embrace life and see things in a new light thanks to an unlikely friendship with a penguin.

Speaking of Wallace & Gromit, another entry in the series is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The film, made by Preston’s own Nick Park, sees the popular characters return in the beautiful and charming stop-motion series of stories. The Jungle Book

The Arc Cinema is celebrating the string of live-action remakes from Disney this Easter break, and continuing that, this week will see The Jungle Book return to the big screen. While it has a different tone to the original animated classic, the same story beats are there, and the film has its own unique charm.

Boonie Bears is an animated film series, with Future Reborn actually marking the 11th entry in their series. Despite that, the film is likely to entertain and delight younger viewers, even without the pretext of 10 other films.
Sylvanian Families – The Movie

The popular playset for children that began trading in 1985 now comes to the big screen. The film perfectly captures the theme of the toys and delivers a happy family fairytale centred on anthropomorphised animals. This one is more focused on younger audiences, so keep that in mind going in.
The Chosen: Last Supper Part 1

The Chosen is an American television series depicting the life of Jesus Christ. The Chosen: Last Supper depicts the fifth season of the show, and Part 1 includes the first and second episodes of this season. At present, there are no plans to put Part 2 and Part 3, which contain the rest of the season 5 episodes, on the big screen, but Part 1 is set to kick off the season on the big screen as an event screening. The story of Part 1 is primarily concerned with Jesus entering Jerusalem and seeing the temple in disarray as a market.
Hey Duggee is 10

Vue is exclusively featuring a special presentation of the popular childrens TV show, Hey Duggee. The listing will include several of the best episodes from the shows run, and is sure to be a delight for young fans of Duggee.
Miss Congeniality

Another film celebrating a huge milestone in 2025 is Miss Congeniality. Sandra Bullock stars as a detective who is required to go undercover in a beauty pageant contestant when the event is under threat. It’s a comedy with some big talent. A rare treat to see this film back in cinemas 25 years after it initially debuted on the big screen.
Better Man

Better Man is the musical biopic depicting Robbie Williams road to stardom, and the challenges he faced along the way. The film is also defined by a controversial gimmick where the main character has been reimagined as a man-sized monkey, but in all honesty, it works extremely well. The music, action, and graphics are spectacular and it returns to The Arc this week. However, the Thursday showing is part of the Silver Cinema screening which means it is exclusively for seniors.
Mr. Burton

Mr. Burton is a British biographical drama about the life of the popular actor, Richard Burton. The film explores the early life of the actor specifically. The film will be available exclusively in The Flower Bowl throughout the week.
A Real Pain

Odeon’s Silver Screen showing for this week is A Real Pain, starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin. The film explores themes of grief, guilt, suffering, and overcoming adversity. When two Jewish cousins decide to visit Poland to explore the home of their ancestors, they find themselves having very different experiences despite being together.
Terminator 2: Judgement Day

James Cameron’s masterpiece from 1991 returns to cinema this week in the Odeon exclusively. The film is hailed as potentially the best entry in the series, having broken new ground on CGI with the introduction of terrifying CGI monsters like the T-1000. It’s action-packed and a must watch for any fans of the series.
Macbeth: David Tennant & Cush Jumbo

David Tennant had an incredibly popular run as Doctor Who from 2005 to 2010, but since then, his career has seen him appear in numerous other projects across the screen and stage. Tennant’s performances in Shakespearian plays have been particularly successful, and his latest West End outing with Cush Jumbo in Macbeth is no different. Having received numerous 5-star reviews, this show is not one to miss
Pink Floyd at Pompeii – MCMLXXII

This special event screening features a spectacular concert from Pink Floyd originally performed in 1972. However, the show has been remastered and edited in 4K. Odeon and The Arc are both hosting a very special showing of the event from Thursday.
