Typhoons inclusive rugby club are hosting a charity event at Preston Grasshoppers.
The event will be held by the rugby club and Looseheadz charity, in Fulwood on Saturday 3 May 2025.
Typhoons RUFC, Lancashire’s first inclusive rugby club’s charity event will be in partnership with Looseheadz, a renowned national mental health charity.

It will host two rugby union matches, a touch rugby showcase, engagement opportunities and a raffle to raise funds for the charity, from 12pm until 6pm.
Rugby Union player Antony Biggs said: “Having played for the Looseheadz Barbarians team last year, and seeing first-hand how incredible this community is, it is an honour to be able to host an event like this.
“The work Looseheadz do is important for everyone in the community, and the further we can help spread their message, the more likely it is we can save someone who feels they have no one else to turn to.”
Looseheadz charity sets out help to tackle stigmas around mental health by using rugby as a platform to promote awareness and welfare.
They wish to place a mental health lead at every rugby club and support, with a toolkit of free resources, the wellbeing of players, coaches and fans.

Typhoons RUFC’s Chairperson, Nathan Moulds said: “It’s an honour to be involved in this charity event with LooseHeadz. The incredible work they do is so important and really resonates with a large number of our members including myself.
“I have first-hand experience of suffering from mental health issues such as anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation, so it’s so important to me that as a club we have the opportunity to not just raise money for but also raise awareness of the LooseHeadz mission.”
