Police have found more than £150,000 worth of cash spread across a car and a property after a car was stopped in Cottam.

During a stop of a grey BMW X5 in Finch Lane on Tuesday 8 April at 11.30pm officers were told a driver ‘had been to pick up a bike’.

A search of the car revealed no bike but they did find a knife and £5,000 to £6,000 of cash in a bag in the passenger footwell.

Police say they remain in custody.
