M6 fully closed for safely-resolved concern for welfare incident

The M6 was closed in the early hours of the morning due to a concern for welfare incident.

Emergency services closed the M6 northbound and southbound from just after midnight this morning (16 April).

The M6 was closed southbound from junction 29-31 and northbound from junction 30-31.

This was for a concern for welfare incident that saw police also close Kittlingborne Brow in Higher Walton. The incident was resolved safely and the M6 had reopened by around 1.30am.

Traffic is flowing well on the motorway this morning.
