A pump track is a circuit designed primarily for the use of BMX bikes, allowing riders to race at speed using their body weight to ‘pump’ themselves around the track. The circuit usually consists of rollers, turns and banked elements.
Robin Hyde, owner of Flow Cycles, started the conversation about the pump track back in 2020 and others leant their support to getting the idea out of the starting blocks.
An official civic opening of the pump track is being planned by Ribble Valley Council.
