Medical students at the University of Central Lancashire will soon be offered medical placements at a Preston-based Greater Lancashire hospital.
Located in Millenium City Park in Ribbleton, the services the hospital offers including cardiology, dermatology and radiology will allow UCLan students to gain experience.
Professor Alison Carr, Dean of the University of Central Lancashire’s School of Medicine and Dentistry, said: “Our students are the next generation of NHS staff so it’ll be extremely valuable for them to work alongside experienced consultants who are specialists in their respective fields of medicine.
“Working in a privately run hospital which conducts NHS work alongside its private provision will also be a valuable experience for our students.”
