A Fulwood football team has recently secured a promotion and is now looking for local companies support.
In their penultimate game of the season Fulwood Amateurs’ 1-0 win moved the first team to the North West Counties 1st Division.
With their final match against Rossendale, at their home pitch behind Preston Grasshoppers on 26 April, the club is also looking for support from local businesses ahead of the new season.

It is the first time the team are playing at this promoted level in over 100 years showing the value of the football team to the local community and companies.
Sponsorships is being sought to improve the pitch set up by installing floodlights, covered seating and a designated hospitality section.
Following their promotion, Phil Blackwell the first team manager said: “I’m just delighted for everyone involved at the club, so many people work so hard behind the scenes, and it just feels a fitting reward for all that hard work.
“The West Lancs is such a great league we leave it with a heavy heart, such an honest and competitive league with lots of great clubs with volunteers doing it for the love of the game.
“Every credit to the players, our backs were against the wall a few weeks ago but under pressure they’ve really delivered with some solid performances and results when it mattered.”
Following their promotion, the team will now compete in several new cup competitions, including the FA Vase, where the final is played at Wembley Stadium.
Joe Hooper the first team captain said: “Finishing in the top five has been a key priority for the players this year.
“After this was secured at the weekend the players were delighted and there is a great buzz in the group.
“We look forward to next season and meeting the new challenge it brings.”
