An exhibition at SHOP in Preston is set to showcase the work of five artists and their transition from educational artistry into recognised artists within the industry.

The small group of Fine Art students from University of Central Lancashire will run the artist-initiated exhibition, titled Us.

Genevieve Lloyd from the collective said: “We are in our second year, which has been a formative chapter of our education.

“This exhibition is one part of our module where we are exploring life beyond university and setting ourselves up for what comes next.”

The exhibition will display a variety of artwork from sculptural pieces to painterly pieces.

Genevieve added: “Nan Goldin, Nik Vikond, Henry Moore and Akiko Hirai are all practitioners of inspiration to us. They inform our work and help us grow into our own practice while exhibiting to the public.”

The Us exhibition will be on display at SHOP in Syke Street from Wednesday 16 to Sunday 20 April.
