A live interactive classical music initiative is coming to schools across Preston.
Now in its fifth year, Playground Proms delivers workshops in school playgrounds.
The workshops combine Graffiti Classics with their trademark humour, educating children.

This year, thanks to a grant from Arts Council England, they have been able to expand their tour and will come to six schools in the city.

Since 2021 Playground Proms have reached nearly 50,000 children in 160 schools in a dozen areas of the UK and Ireland.

Cathal Ó Dúill from Playground Proms said: “We’re thrilled to be back, bigger and better than ever in 2025! The positive feedback from last year has been overwhelming, and we are proud of what we are building with the help of Arts Council England as well as all our music hub partners and other generous donations.
“It is a privilege to travel the country and spread the joy of classical music to children in this way.’’
