Early morning crash between HGV and car causes further M6 delays

Lanes were closed on the M6 northbound due to a crash between a HGV and a car.

Three lanes were closed on the northbound carriageway between junction 30 and junction 31 on the M6 after a crash that occurred at around 7.30am this morning (14 March).

The incident caused a number of delays on the motorway network with the M6 and M61 both heavily affected.

The crash was a damage-only incident between a car and a HGV, Blog Preston understands.

Traffic has since returned to normal.
