Cath said: “I feel honoured to be taking over from Jeff Marsh as the new CEO of the Foxton. Having grown up in Preston this is a tremendous opportunity to build on the charity’s strong foundations and long history.
“From a background in leading youth services, homelessness and high-risk domestic abuse services, working in both the statutory and third sector, I am passionate about making a difference to people’s lives.
“Having worked at Foxton for the last five years I have seen the life-changing impact our services have, on our community and the hard work and commitment of our staff and volunteers. This is an exciting time for all of Foxton’s services and I am looking forward to leading Foxton into the next chapter.”

Cath will take up her new role on 1 July, following the completion of the project to open the new Youth and Community Centre.
Jeff, who said he “couldn’t think of a better candidate for the job,” will continue in his role until 30 June.
John Parkinson, Chair of Trustees at The Foxton said: “Cath has a wealth of experience with the charity and is highly regarded across the city for her work both in leading the project to open the new Youth and Community Centre in Avenham and in developing youth work and youth programmes across the city alongside other organisations and agencies.
“In particular Cath has been a strong advocate of giving a voice to young people in shaping the new centre. As a current part of the charity’s leadership team, she will bring a wealth of experience and existing knowledge of our work.”
