Reports of armed police at Grange close to primary school

Armed police were reportedly called to a Preston street after an ‘affray’.

Witnesses reported to Blog Preston that armed police were present at Yewtree Avenue in Grange, close to Grange Primary School, at around 1.30pm this afternoon (26 March).

Blog Preston contacted Lancashire Constabulary for more information and were told that police were called to reports of affray.

The nature of the incident beyond that is not yet clear and Lancashire Constabulary are still present.

Blog Preston understands that officers are in the early stages of assessing what has happened and more information will be available shortly.
