A Broughton club has recently won a major tennis award. 

Late last month, Broughton & District Tennis & Padel Club won the Club of the Year at the 2025 Tennis Lancashire Awards.

The Lancashire Tennis Awards took place on 23 February 2024 and congratulated many on the quality of their tennis playing.

The event takes place annually and this year was held at Hightown Tennis Club in Southport and overall celebrated the achievements of the clubs, volunteers and coaches.

The judging panel nominated, judged and awarded the various winners from public nominations.

In addition, Pam McGrath won Lancashire Adult Player of the Year for the second year running.

She is currently ranked number one on the ITF Masters Circuit in the 90-and-over age group and is a member of both Broughton Tennis Club and Goosnargh Tennis.
