The Montenegrin striker is also facing potential disciplinary action over his on-field behaviour amid accusations he racially abused an opponent in PNE’s 0-0 draw with Burnley in February. Both he and the club have denied the allegation.
This season also saw him receive an eight match ban and a £15,000 fine after biting Blackburn Rovers defender Owen Beck.
Meanwhile, Preston defender Jordan Storey will go before Preston Court Court in May to stand trial accused of assault and affray.
