New Hall Lane was closed due to an overturned car.

The crash took place near the Hesketh Arms roundabout around 10.20am on Friday (7 March).

Preston Police say the road was closed in both directions and is likely to be closed for a ‘short amount of time’.

The crash is close to the Blackpool Road mini roundabout by the Cemetery gates.

A police spokesperson said: “We want to update you and let you know that New Hall Road is currently closed at the junction of Blackpool Road due to a road traffic collision.

“We anticipate that the road will be closed for a short amount of time, whilst we make sure the road is safe.

“In the meantime, we’d recommend looking for an alternative route and driving carefully, leaving plenty of extra time to get to your destination.”

A police spokesperson confirmed the crash involved minor injuries to the driver.

The road re-opened at lunchtime on Friday.
