A primary school in Preston is closed due to the police cordon on the road outside.
The road alongside Moor Nook Community Primary School is currently cordoned off as Lancashire Constabulary investigate an assault that took place shortly after 6am this morning (12 March).
A spokesperson for the school confirmed to Blog Preston this morning that the cordon means the school will not be able to open today.

Police were called to Ribbleton Hall Drive, next to the school, at around 6.15am to reports of an assault. A man who officers believe is in his 50s has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A man in his 30s from Preston has been arrested and is currently in custody. Lancashire Constabulary’s investigation is ongoing.
