The charges relate to a burglary at Cavendish Drive in Ribbleton in the early hours of 24 February.

A brick was used to smash a window and police say when the occupant came downstairs a man was disturbed and left empty-handed.

A second burglary, in St Philips Road in Deepdale on 3 March, saw electrical items worth £6,000 taken.

Akanwo is due to appear before Preston Crown Court next month.
