A cash machine was stolen in a ram-raid that saw a JCB digger driven into the front of a shop.
Police were called to Berry Lane in Longridge to reports that a ram-raid burglary had taken place at the Co-op store just before 3am this morning (14 March).
The road was closed until around 8am with a police cordon remaining in place and the store still closed when Blog Preston visited this morning.

Nobody has been arrested and a police investigation is underway. Residents nearby told Blog Preston that the loud sound was similar to ‘a giant metal door opening’.
A spokesperson for police said: “We’re appealing for witnesses and footage after a ram-raid burglary at a shop on Berry Lane, Longridge.
“It was reported shortly before 3am this morning that a JCB digger has driven into the storefront, and a cash machine has been stolen.
“An investigation is underway, and we are asking for anyone with information or footage to get in touch with us.
“If you have footage or witnessed the digger in the early hours of this morning, please make contact.”
