A man who escaped his prison transport van this week has been arrested, police have confirmed.
Jamie Cooper, 33, had been on the run since escaping from a GEOAmey transport vehicle on the M55 close to junction 2 on Wednesday (19 March) at around 8.54am.
He was seen in Preston shortly afterwards with police issuing multiple appeals to the public for information that would help them find him.

Cooper was today (22 March) arrested by police on suspicion of escaping from lawful custody and is now in custody.
The arrest was made after police stopped a car travelling from Bolton to Blackburn.
