A new LA-style bowling centre opened for the first time in Preston city centre this weekend.

Hollywood Bowl reportedly invested £2.9m on its new site inside Preston’s newly-opened Animate leisure complex.

The new site features 22 ten-bin bowling lanes, amusements and a bar and diner offering hot dogs, burgers, shakes and signature cocktails. Its entrance is located beneath Argento Lounge.

They marked the opening with some free pop-up activities under the canopy of Preston Markets.

Radu Soloman, centre manager at Hollywood Bowl Preston, said previously: “Hollywood Bowl has built a strong reputation for delivering affordable fun family experiences across the UK.

“We look forward to welcoming people of all ages and abilities from the city to enjoy and make memories in our state-of-the-art bowling facility.”

Hollywood Bowl in Preston was predicted to create up to 30 jobs.
