A key road in Preston is closed after a serious crash.

Emergency services are at the scene of the crash on New Hall Lane which was first reported by police at around 1.32pm this afternoon (22 March).

North West Ambulance Service and Lancashire Constabulary are in attendance. Blog Preston has contacted Lancashire Constabulary for more information.

A spokesperson for police said: “We’re currently at the scene of a road closure on New Hall Lane, from the junction with London Road to the junction with St Mary’s Street in Preston.

“The road is closed due to a road traffic collision and we anticipate this will be closed for some time.”
