Delays heading into Preston through Penwortham with police in attendance

Delays in Penwortham this morning — Delays in Penwortham on 24 March

There are delays on all key roads through Penwortham into Preston.

There have been delays around Golden Way and in the Penwortham Triangle area since around 7.45am this morning (24 March). This is thought to be related to a broken down lorry, but this is unconfirmed.

There are further delays on both Leyland Road and Liverpool Road as people seek to avoid congestion heading through on Golden Way.

Delays on the A59 are severe. Elsewhere, there are also delays on London Road.
